Ruby's war

In 1942, fifteen-year-old Ruby is taken to live in industrial Lancashire, where a number of US black troops take over a nearby camp. Tension rises between the troops and the locals, many of whom still have embedded racial prejudices. A struggle for adolescence, illicit love, dangerous friendships, and doing what is right in a chaotic and unfair world.
