General Note
The plates were issued in parts between 1825 and 1828. The accompanying letterpress was given away free to subscribers, probably with the final part. Thus some copies exclude some or all of the letterpress, and take their title from the etched title-plate issued in February 1827, which reads: Pugin and Le Keux's specimens of the architectural antiquities of Normandy (cf. Nash et al.). Some copies were issued without letterpress (except for the list of plates), with a printed cover-label reading: Pugin and Le Keux's architectural antiquities of Normandy. Eighty prints
General Note
The plates, including the title-plate, are assigned the numbers 1-80 in the letterpress list (p. [1]-4 at the end). However, there are six double-page plates, each assigned two numbers, so that the correct total number of plates is 74. The final four plates consist of two coppers, each printed twice, the second copy with hand-colouring. The plates themselves are numbered, when at all, within each subject depicted.
